This annoys me to no end. People have absolutely no clue. Nobody gives a rat's ass about proper plural forms if it involves more than adding "s" to the end -- except when it comes to virus.
Some words, like "focus" can be plurarlized in their proper form (foci) or the dumbed down version (focuses). That still doesn't make the plural of virus into viri. I hate you all.
